The Saarland Digital Accessibility Monitoring Centre has the function of periodically monitoring and reviewing the accessibility of selected websites and mobile applications of public bodies in Saarland in accordance with EU Directive 2016/2102. In 2020, Saarland commissioned the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Monitoring Centre of the German Institute for Human Rights to perform this function for the federal state as an independent monitoring centre.
