Fishing
A 1.5 kilometre long fishing zone has been created on the western shore of the lake. You will need an official fishing licence and a daily/weekly or annual permit, which you can obtain from the tourist information office, but unfortunately boat fishing is not possible at the moment.
Swimming at the reservoir
Your holiday can begin with a view of Lake Losheim. The 31-hectare reservoir is an EU bathing lake with many leisure activities.
Beach volleyball
There is a beach volleyball court for everyone at the lido. Bring a ball and off you go.
Camping and tents
Enjoy your holiday in the open air.
Finnbahn
The 1.0 km long Finnbahn is a circular course on wood chips, ideal for running and jogging. The entrance is at the portal, which is located directly on the circular route.

Barbecue by the lake
Unfortunately, barbecuing is not possible on the entire lake area and the BBQ donut at the pedal boat hire provides a special barbecue feeling.
Dogs
Whether it's a walk along the lakeside path or a stroll through the SeeGarten, your "best friend on four paws" is very welcome.

Take a detour to our idyllic Kneipp facility during your walk around the lake.
Landscape
The reservoir has a surface area of 31 hectares and, with a maximum water depth of 14 metres, a water volume of 1.5 million m³. It lies at an altitude of 330 metres above sea level and is part of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park. The Losheim stream is dammed by an earth dam and the reservoir was created between 1972 and 1974 as a leisure and bathing lake.

Museum railway
Since 12 June 1982, the Losheim Museum Railway Club has been operating steam locomotive-powered museum trips on the railway lines of the former Merzig-Büschfelder railway.
Parks
If you want to spend the day at the lake, there are numerous car parks in the immediate vicinity.
Cycling

There are charging stations for e-bikes at three points along the lake circuit.
Rest periods at the reservoir
Unfortunately, your stay at the lido, SeeGarten and water playground has to come to an end at some point.
Sanitary facilities
Our sanitary facilities are located 50 metres below the Tourist Information, in the lido and on the west bank near the subway.
Lake circular route
Whether on foot or by bike - the 4.1 km circular lake trail is open all year round. Recharge your batteries and enjoy nature to the full.
Sea garden
The 50,000 square metre "SeeGarten" is an area for gardening enthusiasts on the banks of the reservoir in Losheim.
Playground
We have set up a small adventure playground right next to the "Maison au lac" restaurant so that our younger visitors can really let off steam.
Stand-Up Paddling (SUP)
Right next to the pedal boat hire on the eastern shore of the lake is our SUP hire on the sunbathing lawn.
Pedal boat hire
Water fun for the whole family from Easter to the end of October. 26 pedal boats are available on the shores of the lake for an exploratory tour of the lake.
Overnight accommodation
Spend the night with a view of the lake? This is possible at the Hochwälder Wohlfühlhotel and the Seehotel located directly on the lakeshore.

Water playground
2000 square metres of water, play equipment and mud as far as the eye can see.
Motorhome pitches
Travelling by motorhome and being flexible - the reservoir in Losheim offers you the opportunity to do just that. There is a short-term car park for motorhomes opposite the tourist information centre. Electricity connections and a waste disposal station are available there.
